George Sommers is a freelance writer who has been published internationally, nationally and locally. Mr. Sommers has photographed wildlife from Alaskan bears to Florida alligators as a hobby. Born on Long Island, New York, the current Quincy, MA resident is “companion human” to Pippy the cockatoo, pictured here.
